NHS Records Review during a Private GP Consultation
Most private doctors can't see your NHS records. So every visit starts from scratch, and you have to remember your own history. At My Private Clinic, we do it differently. With your permission, Dr Faizal can view your NHS medical records instantly during the consultation. He will review what's relevant to your appointment, such as your medications, previous blood test results or scan reports, and any long-term conditions.
Whether it is about your ongoing underactive thyroid symptoms, testosterone replacement therapy, UTI treatment, or any medical reports & prescriptions, no information is missed.
You can have a same-day GP appointment, allow access to your medical records, and receive a private prescription or specialist referral if needed. You do not need a referral or private insurance to see Dr Faizal.

Benefits of Sharing Your NHS Records with a GP
When your GP reviews your NHS record, they get a clearer picture of your health.
This is how it changes your consultation:
- Important information about allergies, hospital discharge summaries, and current & past medications is not missed out on.
- The GP resumes your checkup from where the NHS left off.
- Existing records let the GP make the right & needful plan of care.
- Time is used appropriately in discussing your current problem.
What Information Can Dr Faizal Review From Your NHS Medical Record
Dr Faizal can only access what your NHS GP can see and what is required for current consultation.
Your GP History
It includes everything, i.e., your past GP appointments, notes, & diagnoses, so Dr Faizal can note down previous conditions & treatments.
Results of Previous Blood Tests
The reports of blood tests & other investigations that you have been through. If your condition requires it, Dr Faizal may arrange a private blood test Preston.
Letters & Documents
The GP can view your GP referral letters, hospital discharge summaries, outpatient letters, & specialist reports.
Allergies & Reactions
NHS record access lets your GP note any allergies, intolerances, and past reactions to medicines. It is essential before writing a prescription.
Your Ongoing Medications
Past and ongoing medications are reviewed properly. It helps avoid double prescriptions & keep them safe in case a new medicine is to be added.
Vaccination History
Your past vaccinations (travel or routine) are reviewed to understand your health checks & doses.
You Control Your NHS Records Access
Your NHS records are private and also treated as confidential. Please note that:
- Your relevant records are only accessed when you give permission.
- Every access is logged and can be checked.
- You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Your NHS record is never shared with a third party without your consent.
- We follow UK GDPR, NHS England data security standards and the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
Unauthorised Access To NHS Records is Not Tolerated
At My Private Clinic, unauthorised access to medical records is taken very seriously. The GP looks at the allowed record only. Staff are not allowed to open your records unless they are caring for you.

Read this review on Google →Recently I had a Myers’ Cocktail infusion and was extremely impressed with the whole experience. From making my initial appointment with the doctor, to having the relevant blood tests taken and then receiving my infusion, the entire process was seamless and very well organised. The consultation itself was gentle, thorough and incredibly helpful. The doctor took the time to go through my blood results with me in detail, explaining what they meant in a way that was easy to understand. I particularly appreciated that he didn’t simply discuss the results, but also talked me through the things I could do to help myself going forward. I felt listened to, reassured and very well cared for throughout the whole process. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his services to anyone looking for a professional, thorough and genuinely caring approach to their health.
Read this review on Google →I came across Dr Secretary's private clinic when searching for private, local to me, Preston GP appointments. I was immediately impressed by the flexibility of appointments available, ease of booking, and the information on Dr Secretary's website. I could tell Dr Secretary was the type of clinician to actually listen to his patients and offer valuable professional insight. I booked a last minute same day appointment for my daughter, as the pre booked NHS appointment was weeks away; and as I had suspected Dr Secretary was patient, thorough and very attentive. He listened to all concerns, asked all the appropriate questions, carefully weighing up possibilities and options, and was very transparent throughout the entire appointment. He put my mind at ease, with initial concerns, and recommended suitable next steps which have been very helpful. I would thoroughly recommend Dr Secretary to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive and professional private GP, and we certainly won't hesitate to book again. Many thanks on behalf of myself and my daughter.
