Whether you need advice for a new health concern, more time to discuss ongoing symptoms, a prescription review, or help arranging further investigations, our GP consultations give you the time and continuity often difficult to find elsewhere.
Same-day · Evening & Saturday · No referral · From £49
A GP consultation gives you direct access to a fully qualified, GMC-registered doctor without a waiting list. The clinical standard is identical to an NHS appointment because the doctors are trained in the same way and registered with the same bodies. What changes is the time, the access, and the continuity.
At My Private Clinic, every private GP consultation in Preston is with Dr Secretary personally. He reads your NHS records before you arrive. The appointment runs from 15 to 60 minutes depending on what you need. And it ends with a written treatment plan, not a note to come back in a fortnight.
This is what separates a private doctor in Preston from an overstretched ten-minute slot. Not the qualifications, but the time.
If you've never used a private GP before, the process is straightforward.
You have the time to explain your symptoms, worries, and medical history without feeling rushed.
With your consent, Dr Faizal Secretary reviews your NHS records to build a complete picture of your health.
If needed, a physical examination can be carried out during your appointment.
You receive clear recommendations, medication where appropriate, and advice tailored to your situation.
If blood tests, scans, or specialist referrals are needed, these can be arranged during the same appointment.
Every patient leaves with a written treatment plan so you know exactly what happens next.
There is no registration fee, no joining charge, and no additional cost for the written treatment plan, referral letters, or sick notes arranged during your appointment. What you see is what you pay.

Both private and NHS GP services give you access to qualified, GMC-registered doctors. The difference is not the clinical standard of care. It is the time available, how quickly you can be seen, and whether you see the same doctor every visit. My Private Clinic is not a replacement for your NHS GP, but an option for when the NHS cannot see you quickly enough.

We understand that some concerns cannot wait for routine appointments. Where availability allows, urgent consultations can often be arranged promptly, including evening and Saturday appointments.
Out of hours, telephone consultations and home visits can be arranged via WhatsApp for patients with urgent concerns that cannot wait until the next clinic session.
Dr Faizal Secretary trained at the University of Manchester and has extensive experience across NHS general practice and acute medicine. Every consultation is conducted personally by Dr Secretary, ensuring continuity of care and a clear management plan.
Before every appointment, he reviews your notes. During it, he stays for as long as it takes. Afterwards, he follows up personally on any outstanding results. If you were seen here last month, the same person will be in the room when you return.
Whether you have a new symptom, need reassurance about an ongoing concern, or simply want more time to discuss your health, we're here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence. Same-day appointments are often available, including evenings and Saturdays.
