Dr Faizal Secretary founded My Private Clinic in 2026 after a career spanning NHS general practice, urgent care, out-of-hours medicine and hospital specialties across Preston, Blackpool, Blackburn and Manchester.
His medical journey began at the age of 16 as a clinical observer at Royal Preston Hospital — an experience that confirmed what he already suspected: medicine was his purpose. He went on to study at the University of Manchester before returning to complete his foundation and GP training across the Preston and Chorley area.
His hospital experience is unusually broad for a GP, having worked across cardiology, urology, paediatrics, accident and emergency, gynaecology, dermatology, ophthalmology, ear, nose and throat, respiratory medicine, gastroenterology, stroke medicine and general surgery. This depth of experience informs every consultation he carries out.
He founded My Private Clinic not to leave the NHS behind — but to build something alongside it. A practice where prevention matters as much as treatment. Where patients are partners, not recipients. Where the people of Preston get the standard of care they deserve.
